Improve Quality Of Life In Aged Care

Adelaide, Oct 10: New consumer experience and quality of life assessment tools designed for residential aged care by Flinders University will be rolled out nationally to support quality improvement and better health outcomes for older Australians.
The Australian Government is introducing six additional quality indicators for residential aged care, incorporating new consumer experience and quality of life tools developed by a multi-disciplinary research team led by Professor in Health Economics, Julie Ratcliffe, at the Caring Futures Institute.
The Flinders designed QCE-ACC (Quality of Care Experience Aged Care Consumers) and QOL-ACC (Quality of Life Aged Care Consumers) tools were created with older Australians accessing aged care services across both residential and home care settings and have been designed as person-centred tools for quality assessment and economic evaluation.
Professor Ratcliffe says the QI Program is providing older Australians with transparent information on the quality of aged care services to support their decision making about residential aged care.
“Our newly developed tools for measuring residential aged care outcomes are delivering on research identifying the quality-of-life indicators most important to older Australians, and directly addressing their contemporary needs, so we’re excited about promoting best practice with the upcoming national roll out,” Professor Ratcliffe said.

Mia Agraviador featured with the trending Double Layer taco.

Sydney, Oct 11: Old El Paso™ has unveiled a very familiar face, partnering with Mia Agraviador – the OG taco girl from its iconic ‘por qué no los dos’ ad – for its new campaign celebrating the Double Layer taco hack taking social media by storm.

The collaboration has seen Mia’s iconic line feature on online video, social, digital, in-store and OOH. She’s also appeared on social media, debuting alongside comedians SketchShe on Instagram and TikTok

Sydney Director Seeking Funds For History Movie

“A Long Lost Action Film from a Long Lost Nation – Comrade Commando”

Sydney, Oct 11: Liberty to the people, death to fascism.
Local filmmaker and history buff, Daniel Skoric, today announces the launch of Comrade Commando through Kickstarter – raising funds to take the action from page to screen through a journey of blood, sweat, and a whole lot of Nazi’s…
Drawing on dark themes through a comical lens, Comrade Commando acts as a spoof of the action films and TV shows produced in Communist Yugoslavia in the 1960’s and 70’s depicting WW2.
Following the adventures of Branko Skoric, a working class hero in Nazi Occupied Yugoslavia in 1941, the film is centered around a top-secret program run by the Nazi’s who are building the world’s most terrifying weapon from an unsuspecting ingredient – Slivovitz (a very strong Plum Brandy that puts hair on your chest).
The Kickstarter campaign is aiming to raise $10,000 to get the project off the ground.
The funds will be used for a range of production costs including actors, weapon hire, insurance, and even a period armoured vehicle.

More Aussie Retailers Exporting

New data from Stripe shows surge in Aussie retailers exporting

Sydney, Oct 13: Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, today released a report based on three years of proprietary data that reveals businesses in Australia are exploring new digital export flows, building a foundation for growth in the face of economic uncertainty.
The report — based on transaction data on Stripe from 2019–2022—describes how digital export flows are being determined by global demand and market fit rather than traditional supply-chain routes. Platforms like Stripe are transforming the economics of doing business across borders while creating a foundation for growth during an economic slowdown.
“During the pandemic when Australia’s borders were shut and retailers were struggling due to lockdowns, many realised selling to customers overseas was critical to staying profitable,” Karl Durrance, Managing Director of ANZ, Stripe said.
“Now, with growing economic uncertainty, this is a trend we’re seeing continue as international trade remains a business priority and is a fantastic opportunity for homegrown companies to tap into another suite of customers.”
“Working with infrastructure providers such as Stripe enables businesses in Australia to be more efficient, adaptable and scalable in their global expansion through support of payments in a wide range of countries, currencies, and local payment methods.”
