Cypher Learning Operations Goes Next Level

Cypher Learning takes Drone Operations to the next level.

Sydney, Sept 19: CYPHER Learning, a provider of intelligent learning platforms for schools, universities and organisations around the world, announced the successful implementation of its MATRIX learning platform for Drone Operations
Drone Operations provides specialised drone training in private and public schools across Australia in the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Excluded Category, which includes under 2kg remote piloted aircraft (RPA).
The Gold Coast-based training organisation chose MATRIX LMS for its innovative capabilities and seamless integration of training modules to create a turnkey solution – teachers (mentors), VET coordinators and parents will also have access to a portal to keep up to date with student progress. This partnership empowers schools with state of the art learning materials, as students work towards obtaining the AVI30419 Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) – MW training RTO: 2510 uses Drone Operations resources to deliver and assess all learners. 
“Drones offer a different perspective for the pilot and open up a new realm of possibilities in disaster response, meteorology, science & research, even film and video,” said Graham Glass, CEO and Founder of CYPHER LEARNING. “We’re excited to be such an integral part of the journey with Drone Operations to bolster its offerings, as Australia becomes one of the leading cradles for drone applications and development.”    
In addition, the full implementation of MATRIX LMS will assist Drone Operations to meet the national training standards set out by CASA and the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).   

 Garmin Run Asia A Success 

Ten thousands Heroic Runners Showed Up at the Garmin Run Asia Series 2022 Malaysia Marathon.

Kuala Lumpur, Sept 19: Garmin Malaysia has successfully wrapped up its highly anticipated marathon event, the Garmin Run Asia Series 2022, which was held at Dataran Kehakiman Putrajaya on Sept 11.
After a couple of years since its  last inception in 2019, which saw over 7,000 people run together in Putrajaya in the very first Garmin Malaysia Marathon, the event came back stronger than ever, with more participants than  the last one. 
E-certificates were presented to those who completed the 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km race  categories.
Cash prizes ranging from RM300 to RM800 were also handed out to runners within  the 21km category and RM500 to RM1,000 for the 42km category respectively.
For the Grand Lucky Draw, the arbitrarily chosen winner received a full year’s sponsorship of  Garmin products worth RM10,000.
“We are really pleased by the turn out this year. It shows just how much Malaysians really care about  being healthier and leading a better lifestyle; which is in line with our vision to bring people together  to improve their overall wellbeing while also having fun,” Scoppen Lin, Assistant General  Manager, Garmin Asia said.

HL Assurance Launches First 3-in-1 Pass

Singapore, Sept 20: HL Assurance has announced the launch of Singapore Travel Pass, the first of its kind in Singapore, combining travel insurance coverage, pre-paid mobile connectivity, and stored value public transport travel card into one package for the convenience of inbound tourists in Singapore.

On top of the comprehensive insurance coverage, the pass offers a complimentary 100GB of 4G local data for inbound tourists to stream videos or share photos on the go, 1GB of roaming data for outbound short trips to Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand from Singapore, and EZ-link function for travelling on public transport, whether it is MRT, LRT or public buses to explore Singapore.

Top Glove Remains Resilient 

Shah Alam, Sept 20: Top Glove Corporation Bhd or “Top Glove” today  announced its financial results for the Fourth Quarter (4QFY2022) and full financial year 2022 (FY2022) ended 31 August 2022 as it navigates a turbulent environment.
Against the highly  challenging backdrop, the Group delivered Sales Revenue of RM5.57 billion and Profit After Tax of RM292 million for FY2022.
For 4QFY2022, it recorded Sales Revenue amounting to RM990 million, while posting a quarterly Loss  After Tax of RM42 million, as the glove industry experiences the effects of normalisation.  Concurrently, Sales Volume for the quarter contracted by 27 per cent year on year.
“The glove industry has been facing strong headwinds over the last year. The temporary oversupply  situation and weaker demand has distorted the demand/supply mechanism and the Group’s 4QFY2022  performance is not reflective of our business or the sector’s true potential, both of which remain very promising in the longer term,”,Lim Cheong Guan, Managing Director of Top Glove said.
“We have delivered exceptionally strong profits over the last two years and are now going through a  period of normalisation as glove demand/supply stabilises,” Lim said. 

ExtraHop Appoints Kenneth Chen VP

ExtraHop Appoints Kenneth Chen VP of Asia Pacific to Accelerate Growth in the Region.

DOC2US Reaches One Million E-Prescriptions Milestone 

Kuala Lumpur, Sept 22: Founded in 2015, DOC2US, Malaysia’s first and largest digital health provider to issue digitally signed electronic prescriptions in compliance with the Poison Act 1952 has set  a new record in its number of e-prescription generated as it enters the fourth quarter of 2022. 
As more than a million Malaysians have benefited from DOC2US’s Electronic Prescribing System (EPS), and  this achievement is made possible with the support of our partner pharmacy outlets, network of  healthcare professionals and partners AIA Malaysia and MiCare through a seamless integration with the  MyAIA App and MiCare MyMed App. 
Our e-prescription services have been providing exceptional quality and efficient digital dispensing service  to close to 2000 corporate clients and more than 1,500 authorized partner pharmacy outlets. With more  than 3000 pharmacy outlets across Malaysia, one in every three outlets is currently adopting DOC2US’  digital solution.

MR D.I.Y. Makes It A Hat-Trick

Kuala Lumpur, Sept 22:  It’s been an award-filled month for Malaysia’s favorite home improvement retailer.   MR D.I.Y. Group [M] Berhad (MR D.I.Y.) scored a  hat-trick of awards when it was named “Most Outstanding Company in Malaysia – Consumer Discretionary Sector” in the ASIAMONEY “Asia’s Outstanding Companies Poll 2022” at an award ceremony held in Singapore recently.
