Hisense Enters Personal Audio

Perth, July 27: Hisense has moved into personal audio for the first time in Australia, launching its HiClips open-ear earbuds today at a recommended retail price of $199.
The earbuds mark a new category for the brand, which has built its local reputation primarily on TVs and home appliances.
HiClips is designed around an open-ear format that lets wearers listen to music, podcasts and calls while remaining aware of their surroundings — a design choice aimed at commuters, exercisers and anyone who wants to stay tuned into ambient noise rather than block it out.
“We’re incredibly excited to introduce HiClips and bring the Hisense entertainment experience into an entirely new category,” said Kevin Ke, Managing Director of Hisense ANZ.

“At Hisense, we believe great technology should enhance everyday life, not disconnect us from it. HiClips has been purpose-built around that philosophy, combining premium sound with an open-ear design that allows Australians to stay connected to both their content and the world around them. It’s another step in our commitment to creating innovative technology that makes life easier, more connected and more enjoyable.”
On the design side, each earbud weighs just 5.5 grams and uses a flexible titanium-nickel C-bridge frame with a soft-touch silicone coating, intended to mould to different ear shapes for all-day wear. The earbuds are available in four colourways — Vitality Orange, Cloud White, Graphite Blue and Midnight Black — sold exclusively through the Hisense Australia website.
On the tech front, HiClips includes anti-leak technology to preserve audio quality despite the open design, smart noise reduction and dual microphones for calls, and dual-device connectivity for switching between phones, tablets and laptops. Wear detection automatically identifies which earbud is in which ear, while the companion ConnectLife app allows users to customise tap gestures, set shortcuts and locate misplaced earbuds via built-in tracking. Hisense says the earbuds also support fast charging, delivering hours of playback from a short top-up.
HiClips is available from Aug 10, exclusively via Hisense Australia’s website.
