Perth, Nov 20: Batik Air Malaysia is celebrating a major milestone this week, marking 10 years of nonstop air connectivity between Perth and Malaysia with special festivities at Perth Airport.
The anniversary event highlights the airline’s decade-long commitment to offering reliable, convenient and enjoyable travel options for passengers while strengthening Western Australia’s links to Malaysia and the broader region. To commemorate the occasion, travellers passing through Perth Airport can expect commemorative displays, exclusive giveaways and pop-up surprises planned throughout the day.
As part of the celebration, Batik Air has also launched a limited-time promotional offer. The FLYBATIKAIR voucher provides 10% off Economy Value fares and 15% off Economy Flexi fares, available for bookings made between 19–21 November 2025. The promo code is valid for travel until 30 March 2026, with blackout dates applying.
Perth Airport’s Acting Chief Commercial & Aviation Officer James Gorton said the partnership between the airport and Batik Air has helped shape Western Australia’s tourism landscape since the airline group first entered the Australian market via Perth.
“Over the past 10 years, Perth Airport and Batik Air have maintained a strong partnership that has contributed to Malaysia becoming Western Australia’s fifth largest international visitor market, injecting $131 million into the WA economy in visitor expenditure in FY25.

“We congratulate Batik Air on this is significant milestone and we look forward to future decades of our successful partnership and convenient travel options for customers at Perth Airport.”
Batik Air Chief Executive Officer Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy said the Perth–Kuala Lumpur route remains a testament to the importance of regional air connectivity.
“Ten years on, this route continues to demonstrate the strength of air connectivity in creating opportunities and deepening ties across the region. This milestone marks both a proud achievement and the beginning of a new chapter for Batik Air.”
“As we look ahead, our focus is on developing a smarter, more connected network that offers travellers greater choice, comfort, and consistency. The decade ahead will be shaped by innovation, resilience, and a clear ambition to enhance the travel experience while strengthening Malaysia’s role as an important aviation gateway.”
Batik Air currently operates seven weekly direct flights between Perth and Kuala Lumpur, alongside seven weekly one-stop flights via Denpasar, Bali. The combination provides a mix of direct and flexible travel options that have long served families, students, holidaymakers and business travellers moving between the two markets.
Responding to increasing demand and Perth’s growing appeal as both a leisure and business destination, Batik Air will add 11 additional direct flights to its schedule in December 2025. The expansion reflects the airline’s commitment to boosting two-way travel, supporting tourism growth, and improving regional connectivity.
Travellers can plan their next journey or redeem the anniversary promotion via the Batik Air mobile app or by visiting the airline’s official website.
