Building A Brand

By June Ramli

After the long Easter and Anzac break, it’s back to business — and I’m excited to share some fresh updates on LazyBum Skincare.
The past few weeks have been busy behind the scenes. I’ve been working hard to lock in the final packaging designs for the upcoming LazyBum product range. I’m happy to report that the designs and colour codes for the new packaging are now officially finalised. The new look is fresh, bold, and in line with the brand’s playful-yet-practical aesthetic. I’ve sent everything over to the manufacturer and am currently waiting for their feedback on the next steps, including production timelines and print proofs. It’s a small but meaningful milestone on the journey to getting LazyBum Skincare into your hands — and onto your shelves.
In addition to working on the packaging, I also had the chance to connect with Dr Vincent C, a skincare expert who has developed his own line of products. What sets his range apart is the use of apple extracts — a natural ingredient known for its antioxidant and brightening properties. During our conversation, Dr Vincent spoke about the challenges of building a skincare brand from the ground up and the importance of choosing ingredients that not only nourish the skin but also align with modern consumer expectations around clean and effective formulations.
His insights were particularly valuable as I continue refining the LazyBum formula to ensure it offers both performance and simplicity. Like Dr Vincent, I believe skincare should be accessible, effective, and feel good to use — without overcomplicating the routine.
So, what’s next for LazyBum? Once I hear back from the manufacturer, we’ll move into the production phase. Meanwhile, I’m also exploring promotional opportunities and preparing the website for launch. It’s all happening — and I’ll continue to share updates along the way.
Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes glimpses as we bring LazyBum Skincare to life.
