With the ringgit struggling and taxes climbing, every penny counts for Malaysian families.

This is more than a culinary faux pas; it’s a political blunder. It hints at an attempt to align with broader government narratives or austerity measures at a time when empathy and tangible solutions are needed. But such alignment, when it comes at the expense of understanding the people’s plight, only fuels the fire of discontent.
The onion-poppy seed suggestion raises serious questions about the suitability and practicality of Mahfuz’s role in the National Farmers’ Organisation Authority (LPP).
