Sydney, April 8: Last Saturday, I ventured into the heart of Sydney to experience the highly anticipated exhibition, “Ramses & the Gold of the Pharaohs,” housed at the Australian Museum until May 19.
This ticketed showcase has stirred considerable excitement, promising an intimate glimpse into the splendor of ancient Egypt through the lens of its most iconic pharaoh, Ramses II.
The exhibition’s allure is undeniable, drawing crowds that, while a testament to its popularity, also introduce challenges.

Upon arrival, visitors are met with lengthy queues, a small price to pay for entry into a world of ancient treasures.
However, once inside, the throng of attendees can somewhat dampen the experience.

A particular spot was cordoned off due to water leakage, hinting at the exhibit’s overwhelming allure yet physical constraints.

Despite these drawbacks, the exhibition has moments of sheer brilliance.

This, along with the thoughtfully curated display, could have made for an unparalleled journey through time, had it not been for the congested viewing conditions.

For families, a strategic approach is recommended: tackling the exhibition in turns may enhance the experience, sparing the youngest visitors from the dense crowds and ensuring a smoother exploration of the ancient world.
