I have some good news to share. Drumroll, please! Well, the news is that I’ve managed to get my cute tush into Your Shot.
Your Shot is a DJ competition that has been around for the last 10 years and has contestants aspiring to be DJs from four states around the country which are NSW, VIC, Queensland and WA.
I got in this year after trying relentlessly for the past five years.
Anyway, my weekend was filled with loads of activities that involved all things, DJs.
For the first time, something interesting is happening in my rather mundane life.
After getting multiple text messages and emails confirming my selection on Saturday (August 13), I and other hopefuls made our way to a nightclub at the Darling Harbour for a short interview to explain to the organisers our intentions of joining the competition.
While I was in the line, waiting to get in, I made friends with two guys, one was DJ Zaku and the other one was Felix.
No idea what their last names were but we are following each other on Instagram now.
We all became fast friends, as the wait to get into the club for the interview session was rather long.
Once we got in, we had a bit of induction on what was expected of us and then lined up and went upstairs for a short five-minute interview.
Just before the interview, Felix and I decided to do a mini dance on JBL’s stand as a way to kill time before our names were called up.
After this, I would be going through six weeks of vigorous training before I get to do a mini showcase at one of the nightclubs in Sydney.
I will be documenting my journey as the week progresses.
Till my next update, be good.
