Changing for the Best
Welcome to another episode of 30 minutes with DailyStraits.com. Today, we have a very special guest with us, Vaughan Reed (pictured above), the Founder and CEO of Vibe.fyi. With over two decades of deep expertise in the technology space, Vaughan has helped deliver a number of first-to-market technologies in New Zealand including digital signage software that works directly on LG commercial screens, touch window and facial recognition technology.
Over 20 years of working in the digital communication space has taught him that communication is a make or break for businesses. Vaughan’s drive to ‘do things better’ was the catalyst for Vibe and today, his business helps companies communicate more effectively, more often and with less effort.
Based in Auckland, Vaughan and his team have developed an impressive Software as a Service (SaaS) platform which delivers business critical information to the hard-to-reach, desk-less workforce and has an impressive list of New Zealand’s largest companies and also it’s first offshore customer in the US.
Outside of work, Vaughan is a serial medal winner – having represented New Zealand in the Canoe Marathon World Championships and taking out a Gold medal.
o, today, we are gonna talk to Vaughan about his business and how a chance meeting with a customer turned out to be a blessing in disguise in which he had pivoted his business completely to something new in the mid of 2018.
Now that the company has changed directions, it is now on the look out for venture capitalist, and hopes to ace one by next year.
Without further ado, let’s listen to the interview here:
