Alibaba Unveils Agentic AI Computer

Alibaba has unveiled an AI-native computer, smart glasses, earbuds and a note-taking device at its 2026 Apsara Conference, all powered by its Qwen AI models.
The Qwen Book runs on Qwen Desktop OS, Alibaba’s AI-native operating system, and combines its AI models, apps and cloud services in one system. Users can give voice commands through its stylus, which doubles as a microphone, and the computer will find the right file, locate the relevant section and make the requested edits. Changes can then be reviewed and approved on a smartphone.
Alibaba also launched the Qwen Glasses N1 and N1 Pro in China, featuring a 50-megapixel camera. The N1 Pro adds eye-tracking for object recognition and iris-based payments. Its first AI earbuds, the Qwen Clip, were co-engineered with Bose and offer face-to-face translation, note-taking and voice-controlled tasks. Pre-orders for the wearables opened on 22 September, with sales starting on 13 October.
The QwenNote A2, a 67-gram portable recorder, captures conversations and turns them into tasks, such as scheduling meetings or creating to-do lists, through Alibaba’s workplace AI agent QwenWork. It offers up to 40 hours of continuous transcription and deletes audio after transcribing it. The device is priced at RMB 1,199 and is sold through Alibaba’s Tmall platform.
Logitech Unveils Yeti 2 Microphone

Logitech G has unveiled 15 new products at its Logitech G PLAY 2026 event, headlined by a rebuilt version of its popular Yeti microphone.

“The landscape of play is evolving faster than ever. Breakthrough technology and entirely new ways to compete are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in gaming,” said Robin Piispanen, general manager of Logitech G.

The company also launched new PRO Series gear developed with professional esports players. The PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE Gaming Mouse ($299.95) offers 50 per cent better power efficiency than its predecessor, while the PRO X2 RAPID Gaming Keyboard ($399.95) features magnetic switches and adjustable key sensitivity. The line-up also includes the PRO X3 LIGHTSPEED Gaming Headset ($449.95) and the PRO X Control Mousepad ($99.95).
Logitech G also announced software updates to its G HUB and Streamlabs platforms.
Check Your Super’s Life Cover

Only one in three Australians understand the life insurance products and benefits they hold through their super, according to the Council of Australian Life Insurers.
Budget Direct is urging Australians to use spring as a chance to check what their super-based life insurance covers and whether the type and amount of cover still suit their needs.
Andrew Daly, Budget Direct’s Executive General Manager, Partnerships and Alliances, said default cover had its place.
“Default group cover in super exists for a reason. It’s convenient, and for those with health conditions or in high-risk occupations, it typically has less initial health checks.
“But it’s not one-size-fits-all and cover can be limited and not specific to individual needs,” he said.
Premiums for insurance in super are deducted from members’ balances, reducing their retirement savings, and people with more than one super account may be paying for several policies. Total and permanent disability definitions can also be stricter than in standalone policies, and some cover, such as trauma insurance, may not be available through super.
“Spring is the ideal time to review your life insurance. Find out what you’re currently covered for by logging into your super fund and compare that to what you think you’d need to ensure your loved ones will be taken care of,” Daly said.

Adobe Tools Land In Gemini

Adobe has brought its creative tools to Google Gemini for the first time, while also expanding its plugin for Anthropic’s Claude to include Acrobat.
Through Adobe in Gemini, users can call on tools from Photoshop, Lightroom, Express and Firefly within a conversation to enhance photos, create marketing assets and customise designs. The feature is rolling out globally from 24 September across all Gemini plans, with users able to connect via the Personal Intelligence menu using an Adobe account.
Adobe described the launch as the first step in its work with Google, with more creative and productivity tools planned.
In Claude, the updated Adobe plugin now offers more than 80 tools across Acrobat, Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom, InDesign and Adobe Stock. New Acrobat features let users combine, split and redact PDFs, convert files and edit documents in an interactive editor, while a layer-based editor allows hands-on changes to Express designs.
The Claude update is also rolling out globally on desktop, mobile and web, with existing Adobe connector users updated automatically.
Adobe’s tools are already available in ChatGPT, Slack and Copilot.
