Yo-Chi Is Taking Over the Country with Tokyo Lamington

Perth, Aug 19: Cult Newtown, Marrickville and Carlton bakery Tokyo Lamington is going nationwide — through your local Yo-Chi.
From 18 August, all 76 Yo-Chi venues across the country will stock Tokyo Lamington’s mini lamingtons as toppings, in two flavours made exclusively for the collab: OG Lamington (chocolate and coconut) and a Japanese-inspired Yuzu (yuzu and coconut). They’re joined by a vegan-friendly Coconut Raspberry swirl — pulled together with existing favourite Choccy for a lamington-style mashup — plus a chocolate, coconut and berry jam Lamington Sauce.
The Yuzu flavour rides the wave of Japanese-Australian mashups currently taking over menus nationwide, from matcha tiramisu to carbonara udon. It’s the biggest platform yet for Tokyo Lamington, which started almost as a joke between founders Eddie Stewart and Min Chai and has since built a cult following across Sydney and Melbourne.
The takeover runs for a limited time only, subject to availability, at all Yo-Chi venues nationwide from 18 August.

The artwork I created is not a fiction, it’s the resemblance of life we’ve personally gone through caught in time. Creating these 25 paintings has been an incredibly fulfilling experience, and I am excited to showcase them at Interaksi Alam,” said Maamor Jantan.
