Nationwide Big Bold Walk Returns

Perth, June 1: Lace up your shoes this June for the Big Bold Walk, a free community fundraiser supporting breast cancer research through Breast Cancer Trials.
Walk solo or as a team, complete your kilometres any way you like, and raise funds for clinical trials working toward better treatments for the one in seven Australian women diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Raise $10 and receive a free pink t-shirt.

Free Socceroos Live Site

Perth, June 3: Allianz Stadium will open as a free live site on Sunday, June 14, as Australia takes on Türkiye in its FIFA World Cup 2026 opener.
The community event will allow fans to watch the CommBank Socceroos live on big screens from either the field of play or the grandstands, with kick-off at 2pm AEST.
The announcement follows the Allianz Care Cup, a one-off five-a-side football match at Allianz Stadium featuring Australian sporting names from rugby league, rugby union and AFL, including Michael Hooper, Matt Giteau, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Steve Menzies, Brett and Josh Morris, Nick Davis and Guy McKenna.
NSW Minister for Sport Steve Kamper said, “There’s nothing quite like watching Australia compete on the world stage surrounded by fellow fans.
“We’re excited to open Allianz Stadium as a free live site, giving the community an opportunity to come together to experience the CommBank Socceroos’ FIFA World Cup 2026TM opener from the field of play.”
The free event will include a mini football pitch, merchandise, food stalls and face-painting, with families of all ages invited to attend.

KLIMS EV Showcase

Perth, June 3: KLIMS 2026 will take place from June 12 to 21 at MITEC, bringing together electric vehicles, test drives and automotive showcases under one roof.
The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show arrives ahead of Malaysia’s new policy on completely built-up electric vehicles, which is set to take effect on July 1.
Visitors will be able to explore a wide range of EVs, learn about charging infrastructure and sustainable mobility, and test drive more than 60 vehicles from different brands.
The event will also feature selected promotions, special packages, booking incentives and limited-time offers from participating brands.
Tickets are free for adults on weekdays, while weekend and public holiday entry is RM30 for adults, RM15 for senior citizens, OKU cardholders and students, and free for children below 12.
An unlimited access pass is available for RM80, while a five-person bundle pass is priced at RM100. Free bus and shuttle services will operate from selected MRT, LRT and nearby parking locations.

Sydney’s Fire Pit Cinema returns to The Rocks this July as part of the Christmas in July Festival.

Perth, June 12: Sydney’s Fire Pit Cinema returns this July as part of the Christmas in July Festival in The Rocks. Running from Friday 10 to Sunday 19 July, the outdoor experience invites visitors to settle into deck chairs under the stars, roast marshmallows over open fire pits and watch Christmas films while enjoying mulled wine or hot chocolate. The cinema forms part of the wider festival, which transforms The Rocks into a European-inspired winter village with snowfall moments, festive chalets, artisan markets and live entertainment. During the final weekend, the program will feature a selection of French films as the festival merges with the Bastille Festival.
