Perth, May 7: Gone are the days of ugly lunch bags, with Orbitkey recently revitalising the everyday work lunch carry with a stylish new range of insulated lunch bags and accessories designed for modern commuters.
That may sound blunt, but anyone who has carried a bulky, square lunch bag to work will understand the appeal.
Orbitkey’s new insulated lunch bags look more like lifestyle accessories than something you would hide under your desk.

The first item we tried was the Insulated Lunch Bag Plus, an 8L expandable roll-top bag priced at $84.90. It comes in Terracotta, Black and Lilac, and has an insulated interior, external bottle pocket, coated cutlery pocket, rear zipped pocket and adjustable strap.
What makes this bag stand out is that it looks more like a small sling bag than a traditional lunch carrier. It can fit a lunch container, drink bottle and smaller essentials, while still looking neat enough to carry separately from a backpack or work tote.
For commuters, that is useful. If you already carry a laptop bag or backpack, the Lunch Bag Plus can be worn across the body, keeping your hands free.
The rear zipped pocket is also handy for small flat items such as a phone, wallet or travel card.
The roll-top design means it can expand when you need to carry more, or fold down when you are packing light.
The insulated lining is designed to keep cold food cooler and warm food warmer for longer than an uninsulated bag, while the wipe-clean interior makes spills easier to manage.

The second item we received was the Insulated Lunch Bag Mini, a 5L compact version priced at $64.90. It also comes in Lilac, Black and Terracotta.
This one is better suited for people who prefer to slip their lunch bag inside a larger tote or backpack. It is compact, collapsible and has a self-standing base, making it easy to pack, place on a desk or store after use.
The Mini also has an insulated interior, two front slip pockets and a coated cutlery pocket. It is especially useful if you want to keep lunch separate from the rest of your bag, particularly in case of spills.

Orbitkey’s new Clip-on Glasses Pouch is another useful addition to the range, especially for anyone who is constantly digging through their bag for sunglasses or reading glasses.
Priced at $34.90, the slim pouch comes with a built-in carabiner clip, soft interior lining, water-resistant finish and hidden essentials pocket.
It also comes in the same three exciting colours as the lunch bags: Terracotta, Black and Olive.
Despite its slim design, the pouch is surprisingly roomy and fits most standard glasses or reading glasses comfortably.
The soft interior helps protect lenses from scratches, while the squeeze-open mechanism makes it easy to access glasses quickly with one hand.
The hidden zip pocket is also a thoughtful touch, giving users space for a cleaning cloth, tracker or small extras without adding bulk.
Both lunch bags are made for everyday use and are easy to clean with a damp cloth.
They also match Orbitkey’s broader carry range, which gives them a more polished look than most lunch bags on the market.
Our pick?
The Lunch Bag Plus is the better option if you want something that can be carried on its own, while the Mini is ideal if you prefer something compact that fits inside another bag.
The Clip-on Glasses Pouch is also a practical add-on for commuters, office workers or anyone who wants their glasses within easy reach without carrying a hard case.
With Mother’s Day around the corner, all three items would make practical gifts — especially for someone who likes useful accessories that still look polished.
