Margaret River Finals Day

Margaret River, April 26: The Western Australia Margaret River Pro wrapped up yesterday at Main Break, with a stacked Finals Day featuring a mix of established champions and rising contenders across both the men’s and women’s draws.
The women’s semifinals opened with an all-Californian showdown as former Margaret River runner-up Sawyer Lindblad took on 2019 event winner Lakey Peterson for a place in the Final.
In the second heat, Brazil’s Luana Silva faced reigning event runner-up Caitlin Simmers, with both surfers chasing a spot in the decider.

On the men’s side, an all-Brazilian clash saw Samuel Pupo battle three-time World Champion Gabriel Medina, with Pupo hunting a maiden Championship Tour win while Medina chased a second Margaret River title.
The final semifinal featured the lone Australian in the draw, George Pittar, who took on 2019 World Champion Italo Ferreira for his first CT Final berth.
The Western Australia Margaret River Pro ran from April 16 to 26, 2026, at Main Break and was broadcast live on WorldSurfLeague.com and the WSL app, with support from Tourism Western Australia and multiple event partners.
