Pixel 10a Launches

Perth, Feb 19: Google has opened pre-orders for the Pixel 10a in Australia, positioning the new A-series handset as a more durable, longer-lasting device with expanded safety and AI features.
The phone starts from AU$849 and comes in four colours—Lavender, Berry, Fog and Obsidian—with in-store availability set for Thursday, 5 March.
A key design change is a refined, fully flat back intended to sit flush on surfaces and slide more easily in and out of pockets, while Google says the Pixel 10a is made with more recycled material than any previous Pixel A-series device.

Battery is another headline focus. Retail listings and early coverage point to Extreme Battery Saver stretching usage up to 120 hours, alongside Google’s long-term support promise of seven years of security and OS updates from launch.
For the first time on the A-series, Pixel 10a buyers also get access to a two-year trial of Satellite SOS, allowing connections to emergency services even when mobile coverage or Wi-Fi is unavailable.
On the camera front, Google is promoting everyday photography improvements anchored by a 48MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide, supported by features including Night Sight and Real Tone, plus newer tools such as Camera Coach and Auto Best Take.
Alongside the handset, Google is also rolling out Pixel Buds 2a in two new colours—Berry and Fog—to match the Pixel 10a palette.
