Perth, Feb 19: Blink has launched the Outdoor 2K+ in Australia, expanding its 2K camera line-up with a new wireless security camera designed to deliver sharper video, improved low-light performance and longer battery efficiency at an affordable price.
The Outdoor 2K+ records in 2K resolution (2560 x 1440) and includes 4x zoom, aimed at helping homeowners capture more detail when checking deliveries, identifying visitors or monitoring vehicles around the home.
Blink says the camera offers enhanced colour and clarity, making it easier to verify important visual information without needing a wired setup.
A key highlight is its improved low-light performance with colour vision. Using ambient lighting, the Outdoor 2K+ can provide colour video in low light before switching to infrared black and white when conditions are darker, supporting round-the-clock monitoring and clearer identification of details such as clothing or vehicle colour.
For users who want more advanced alerts, the Outdoor 2K+ supports smart notifications for person and vehicle detection through an optional Blink Subscription Plan sold separately.
Blink says the camera uses edge processing to help distinguish between people, vehicles and general motion, which can reduce unnecessary alerts triggered by movement such as branches or small animals.
The Outdoor 2K+ also includes noise-cancelling two-way talk for clearer communication, and it is built with an IP65-rated weather-resistant design intended to stand up to rain, dust and harsher conditions.
Blink notes the camera’s compact form factor makes it suitable for flexible placement outdoors and also usable indoors.
Powered by Blink’s custom silicon chip technology, the Outdoor 2K+ is designed to deliver efficiency while maintaining up to two years of battery life based on battery efficiency settings with 1080p resolution and typical use.
The Blink Outdoor 2K+ is now available in black and white, priced at $119 AUD for a one-camera system that includes a Sync Module Core. Multi-pack pricing is set at $219 for a two-pack, $299 for a three-pack and $399 for a five-pack.
For local storage, users can pair the system with a Sync Module 2 and a USB drive, sold separately.
With Blink Subscription Plan, customers can access unlimited cloud storage for motion events and live view recordings for up to 60 days.
