Kobo Remote Review

By June Ramli

Perth, Jan 2: The last review item I received at my Lilyfield apartment before moving to Perth was the Kobo Remote, which arrived on December 12.
Because of everything happening around December 15, it took a bit longer than usual to properly test it—but it has proven to be a surprisingly handy little reading companion.
At first glance, the Kobo Remote looks like a slim presentation clicker, the kind lecturers use for slides.
Setup is straightforward: you pair it via Bluetooth with a compatible Kobo eReader, and once it’s connected, it stays paired.
I tested it while travelling in Abu Dhabi, and it made it easy to keep reading comfortably on the go.
The remote is compact and light, so it slips into a handbag or purse without taking up much space.

Its simple button layout lets you flip pages forward or back with a click, which is especially nice when you’re curled up under a blanket or reading in bed and don’t want to keep reaching for the screen.
Kobo Remote is designed specifically for Bluetooth-enabled Kobo eReaders, including models like the Kobo Libra Colour, Kobo Clara Colour, Kobo Sage and more.
It runs on a single AAA battery, with Kobo claiming months of use before you need to replace it.

The KBBO remote is available in both black and white.

The body uses recycled materials, including ocean-bound plastics, and the packaging is fully recyclable, aligning with Kobo’s sustainability goals.
Available in black and white (I tested the black version), the Kobo Remote is priced at AUD $44.95 in Australia and can be purchased online via the Kobo website and selected retailers.
For Kobo fans who read for long stretches or prefer a more relaxed, hands-free experience, this little accessory adds genuine comfort without fuss.
