Abu Dhabi, Oct 27: If you are an avid book reader living in a small home space, then might I tickle you with the latest Kobo Clara Colour, which is retailed at US$159.99.
It is actually something like a Kindle and has heaps of books loaded into it, from free to paid.
It is small in size and fits really well within your purse or your bag
For the menfolk, it could fit in your jacket’s inner pocket.
Loading is a bit slow and I found the screen not as bright, but this means your eyes are protected and they won’t be as strained as when you actually scroll TikTok for long hours.

You can create a collection and you can browse Kobo Rakuten for books that you would like to read – some need to be purchased though and not all the books are free of charge.
There is also a Need Help section which can help you navigate Getting Started, reading a book, troubleshooting missing books, and Bluetooth help.
Books range from a dollar to as much as one hundred dollars above.
You will need to set up your account through your smartphone, otherwise this device is useless on its own.
There is auto-syncing and you can continue reading on any Kobo app or device.

If you read the book, you just need to tap on the screen and the page will change.
When it gets into sleep mode, simply go behind the device and hit the reset button to get it working like a charm again.
I will be honest, I won a Kindle in 2015 a long time ago as part of a hackathon, but I hardly use it because reading is not my thing.
Kobo is similar to Kindle, but I do notice some differences, where it is more updated and, as a Kobo original, related reads find your next great read and customise the way you read your book.
If you ask me, this is something for the minimalist who loves to read books.
There is also a book progress feature where you can see the total hours of reading, and I loved it, and it would be great for someone like me who often travels, waits for trains, etc.
This would be a great filler instead of scrolling aimlessly through my smartphone.
