Sydney, Nov 12: Rakuten Kobo will shout 150 free coffees for Sydney readers on Wednesday, 3 December 2025, teaming up with Double Cross Dining Room in Crows Nest for a one-day “A Coffee Date with Kobo” pop-up. From 9:00am until cups run out, attendees can claim a free specialty coffee, matcha or tea by mentioning “A coffee date with Kobo” and naming their favourite book at Shop 1/31 Albany St, Crows Nest.
Guests will get an early look at Kobo’s latest eReader and the new Kobo Remote. Ten attendees will also go into the draw to win a prize pack worth up to $359, including a Kobo Clara Colour (now available in white), a Kobo Remote and a Kobo Clara SleepCover.
Kobo says the activation reflects the growing social side of reading, with virtual book clubs, audiobooks and BookTok communities turning a once solitary pastime into a way to connect.
The company positions the event as a chance for Sydneysiders to pause with a good book and a free brew while exploring devices designed to complement how readers switch between paperbacks, eBooks, audiobooks and web articles.
