Moira Hogan Exits BritBox

Sydney, Oct 1: BritBox International has announced the departure of Moira Hogan, EVP, BritBox International and General Manager for Australia.
Hogan, who joined five years ago, led BritBox’s Australian launch and growth, turning the market into a key contributor for the streamer. She oversaw the local P&L and growth plan, delivered strong subscriber and revenue gains, and secured distribution deals with Amazon, Apple and Foxtel. Earlier this year, she led a major service relaunch.
Following the formation of BritBox International, Hogan’s remit expanded to include Australia, the Nordics and South Africa, where she sat on the Senior Leadership Team and provided global strategic guidance.
Reflecting on her tenure, Hogan said she was “immensely proud of everything we’ve built together,” adding that with a shift within Studios to a more domestic focus, “this is the right time to seek a new challenge that aligns with my experience in international business leadership.”
“When I started, I needed to quickly close key platform deals before launch. Since then we’ve grown the team, built meaningful partnerships, expanded the service and achieved a huge lift in revenue,” she said. “While leaving isn’t easy, my departure is a natural progression… I’ll be their biggest cheerleader.”
Robert Schildhouse, President BritBox North America and GM BritBox International, praised Hogan’s results and leadership: “Moira has delivered exceptional results both locally and internationally… taking bold risks that drove revenue growth and building a culture where everyone can do their best work.”
Robi Stanton, EVP & General Manager, Global Media & Streaming, ANZ at BBC Studios, added: “Moira’s leadership has been central to the success of BritBox in Australia. Her strategic vision and deep understanding of the market were instrumental in building a thriving business.”
A successor was not announced.
