Sydney, May 19: Anaheim, California is celebrating a landmark year of anniversaries and events across its most iconic attractions, led by Disneyland Resort’s 70th anniversary festivities.
Guests visiting Disneyland Resort can enjoy a year-long celebration themed “Celebrate Happy,” which includes limited-time entertainment, nostalgic décor, special food and drinks, and exclusive merchandise. Highlights include the return of the Paint the Night parade, the debut of the World of Color – Happiness! nighttime spectacular, and the Pixar-themed Better Together parade. A special guided experience, A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour, is also available for booking through 13 July.
The festivities span across Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, the Downtown Disney District, and all three on-site hotels—Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, and the newly renovated Pixar Place Hotel. Special ticket deals are available for Australian travellers, with 4-day passes starting at US$100 per day.
Meanwhile, Knott’s Berry Farm is celebrating its 105th anniversary with five themed seasons of fun throughout 2025. Highlights include the interactive Ghost Town Alive! in summer, the return of Knott’s Scary Farm in the fall, and Knott’s Merry Farm during the holiday season. Visitors will also be able to meet the PEANUTS™ characters, who celebrate their 75th anniversary this year.
Anaheim’s luxury accommodation sector is also marking milestones. JW Marriott Anaheim Resort and The Viv Hotel Anaheim both celebrate five years since opening, now known for their rooftop bars, upscale dining, and elevated guest experiences.
Looking ahead, the city will host major international events. VidCon Anaheim returns from 19–21 June 2025, celebrating digital content creators. In 2026, BlizzCon returns for the first time in three years, taking place 12–13 September, while WonderCon comes back to the Anaheim Convention Center from 27–29 March. Both conventions are set to draw global audiences with panels, gaming showcases, cosplay, and immersive fan experiences.
