Sydney, April 18: Netflix has teamed up with Pritish Nandy Communications for the first time to launch The Royals, a coming-of-age romantic comedy set to premiere globally on May 9.
Set in the fictional city of Morpur, the series follows the humorous and passionate clash between a modern CEO and a pauper prince, blending palace intrigue with boardroom drama.
Directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, and written by Neha Veena Sharma, the series stars Bhumi Pednekar as the ambitious Sophia Shekhar and Ishaan Khatter as the carefree Prince Rajkumar.
They lead a star-studded ensemble cast including Zeenat Aman, Sakshi Tanwar, Nora Fatehi, Dino Morea, Milind Soman, and others.
Produced under the banner of Pritish Nandy Communications by Rangita and Ishita Pritish Nandy, the series mixes old-world royal charm with contemporary chaos, offering a bold, stylish take on romance.
With elements of drama, humour, and emotional tension, The Royals promises viewers a rollercoaster of fiery chemistry and unpredictable love.
