Pop Keys: Style Meets Productivity

By June Ramli

I recently got my hands on the Logitech Pop Icon Keys keyboard along with the matching mouse.
I opted for the pink version since it was the only color available that perfectly complemented my iMac and MacBook.
The unboxing experience was smooth – the keyboard and mouse came with standard packaging, and as soon as I got them out, they were good to go.
Setting up the Pop Keys with my iMac was a breeze.

Pairing both devices via Bluetooth was seamless, with no hiccups.
Within minutes—maybe even seconds—they were connected and ready to use.
All I had to do was switch on the power button located at the top of the keyboard and on the underside of the mouse. And voilà, I was all set.
This isn’t my first rodeo with Logitech keyboards.
I’ve reviewed two of their other keyboards here a couple of years ago.
The Pop Keys has a similar feel to the MX Keys but with a shorter, more compact design that makes it much easier to fit into a backpack—perfect for those who like to carry their keyboard on the go.
A major plus with the Pop Keys is the complete freedom from USB dongles.

Unlike my previous Logitech keyboards that required a USB connection, this one relies solely on Bluetooth. Not having to deal with a USB receiver is a relief—especially if you’re prone to misplacing small accessories during a move.
However, I did run into one minor issue.
While the Pop Keys connected flawlessly to my iMac, I tried to pair it with my phone’s Bluetooth at the same time, but the attempt failed.
It seems that the Pop Keys only connects with one device at a time, which might be a slight limitation for users who frequently switch between devices.

Some might wonder why anyone would invest in a separate keyboard when laptops and desktops already come with one.
For me, the answer is simple—comfort.
The iMac’s keyboard can feel rigid and tiring to use for long hours.
In contrast, every keystroke on the Pop Keys is smooth and satisfying.
For someone like me, who spends hours typing every day, the comfort and ease of use are a game-changer.
It’s a perfect choice for writers and anyone working long hours at a desk.

Verdict: The Logitech Pop Icon Keys and Pop Mouse combo is a solid investment for anyone looking to enhance their workspace. Both devices offer excellent comfort and functionality, making long hours at the computer more bearable.

Editor’s Note: This writer received a complimentary set of the Logitech Pop Keys keyboard and mouse in exchange for an honest review.
