Sydney, Sept 10: As footy finals draw near, fans are increasingly frustrated by skyrocketing stadium food prices.
With a pie and beer costing nearly $20, many Melburnians are opting to watch the finals from home this year.
Enter 67-year-old Neil “Towners” Townley, a local footy veteran from Carrum Downs, who has created an affordable way to enjoy classic footy flavours at home.
Working part-time at Bubba Pizza, Townley launched three footy-themed pizzas—the Meat Pie Pizza, Hot Dog Pizza, and Dim Sim Pizza—all for $10.
Towners’ creations have gone viral on his “Prune Masters” Instagram and TikTok, garnering millions of views each month.
His no-nonsense personality and passion for footy have won over fans nationwide.
Bubba Pizza’s Managing Director, Damian Hopper, echoed the sentiment, saying the company aims to bring people together without stretching their budgets.
