Kuala Lumpur, Aug 17: UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has commenced order-taking for the enhanced 2024 models of the Toyota Hilux, Toyota Fortuner, and Toyota GR86, starting last Friday.
These updates continue to push the boundaries of automotive excellence, aligning with Toyota’s commitment to quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
The Toyota Hilux, Malaysia’s best-selling pick-up truck, now features Vehicle Stability Control in the Hilux 2.4 Single Cab, along with advanced accessories like the Remote Engine Start and Panoramic View Monitor in selected variants.
The Hilux is powered by a 2.8 GR Sport engine delivering 224 PS / 550 Nm of torque, with prices starting at RM104,880 without insurance.
The Toyota Fortuner, known for its ruggedness and versatility, offers a new GR Bodykit as an optional accessory, along with a choice of petrol and clean diesel engines.
The starting price for the new Toyota Fortuner is RM195,880 without insurance.

The Toyota GR86 has received significant enhancements in handling, responsiveness, and safety features, such as a front and rear Digital Video Recorder.
The GR86 2.4 A/T and 2.4 M/T are competitively priced starting from RM295,000 without insurance.
Meanwhile, UMWT also reported strong sales in July 2024, with over 9,000 units sold, bringing the year-to-date total to more than 55,800 units.
The company recently expanded its Lexus lineup with the Lexus RZ 450e electric SUV and the Lexus LBX hybrid.
