Tulip Time Blooms Bright

Bowral, Aug 14: The Southern Highlands are gearing up for the highly anticipated Tulip Time Festival 2024, set to transform Corbett Gardens in Bowral into a vibrant display of spring beauty from September 12 to September 30.
With 80,000 tulips and 16,000 other spring blooms on show, this annual event is a cherished tradition, attracting visitors from near and far.
Tulip Time will open its gates daily from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, with a special preview day for Wingecarribee Shire residents on September 12, followed by the official opening on September 13.
This year, the festival introduces several exciting events, including Tulips After Dark on select weekends, where attendees can enjoy live music, food, and illuminated floral displays.
A new highlight, the Tulip Time Garden Party, will take place over the October long weekend, offering a festive atmosphere with beverages, local delicacies, and artisan markets.
Visitors are also encouraged to explore the wider Southern Highlands, including the waratah displays in Robertson and various open gardens throughout the region.
Suzanne Hannema, Coordinator of Tourism & Events, noted, “Tulip Time marks the beginning of the Southern Highlands spring festivities as thousands of visitors flock to the region to experience all the area has to offer.”
Tickets for Tulip Time 2024 are now available online and at the gate, with Wingecarribee Shire residents enjoying free entry to daytime events.
The festival promises a memorable springtime experience in Bowral, filled with natural beauty, cultural events, and local flavours.

Miss Sensuous Search Begins

Sydney, Aug 27: Australian brand Sensuous, known for personal pleasure lubricants, is launching the first-ever Miss Sensuous competition to empower and celebrate sensuality.
The winner will become the brand’s new face, feature in a six-page MAXIM spread, and receive various prizes, including a professional photoshoot and an all-expenses-paid weekend getaway.
Open to all models over 18, the competition emphasizes individuality, confidence, and self-love, with public voting playing a key role.

Sydney, Aug 27: Sony has revealed the finalists for the 2024 Sony Alpha Awards, celebrating exceptional photography by both amateur and professional photographers from Australia and New Zealand.
With over 2,600 images submitted, the competition spans 11 categories, including the reintroduced Youth category for photographers aged 13 to 18.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Sydney on Sept 27.
In addition to the awards, Sony is launching its inaugural Scene Tradeshow on 28-29 September at White Bay Power Station in Sydney, where attendees can explore the latest Sony gear and view the finalist images.
