D-Link A/NZ has introduced two new Layer 3 10 Gigabit Stackable Managed Switches: the DXS-3410-32SY and the DXS-3410-32XY. These versatile switches offer various port configurations to cater to different network needs, including 10G fibre and Multi-Gigabit 10GBASE-T ports.
The DXS-3410-32SY features 28 10Gb SFP+ ports and four 10/25Gb SFP28 ports, while the DXS-3410-32XY includes 24 Multi-Gigabit 10GBASE-T ports, four 10Gb SFP+ ports, and four 10/25Gb SFP28 ports. Both models support stacking up to 9 units physically or 32 units virtually, enhancing network flexibility and scalability.
D-Link emphasizes the robust security features of these switches, such as Multi-layer and Packet Content Access Control Lists (ACL), Storm Control, and IP-MAC-Port Binding (IMPB). The switches also support advanced authentication mechanisms, including 802.1X and Web-based Access Control (WAC).

Reuters Chooses Sony Cameras

Sony has announced that Reuters, one of the largest news agencies globally, has selected Sony’s Alpha and XDCAM cameras, including the Alpha 7S III and PXW-Z280, along with G Master lenses and UWP-D wireless audio equipment, for its video journalists worldwide.
Sony Australia CCS Group Manager Anthony Kable said, “Sony has designed its cameras to operate to the best of their abilities in high pressure environments such as news gathering… Reuters decision to choose Sony cameras for its worldwide video group is a great example of that philosophy in action.”
The PXW-Z280 is noted for its ease of use, electronic variable ND filter, and Sony’s Instant HDR workflow, making it an industry standard. The Alpha 7S III is favored for its compact form factor, exceptional picture quality, and advanced autofocus performance, especially in low light.
Both cameras support seamless cloud connectivity for reliable content transfer. The new equipment has begun shipping to 23 Reuters locations worldwide, strengthening the relationship between Reuters and Sony.

Xiaomi Debuts New Colour

Xiaomi has introduced a new Olive Green variant to its Redmi Note 13 Series, specifically for the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G. This addition follows the successful global launch of the Redmi Note 13 Series on January 15, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand. The series, available in Malaysia, includes Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 13 5G, and Redmi Note 13, catering to various market segments with competitive pricing.
Redmi Note is renowned for delivering flagship-level features at accessible prices. The series has advanced high-resolution photography in mid-range smartphones, starting with the Redmi Note 7’s 48MP camera in 2019, followed by the Redmi Note 8 Pro’s 64MP camera, the Redmi Note 10 Pro’s 108MP camera, and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G’s 200MP camera. The 200MP camera continues in this year’s Redmi Note 13 Pro models, supported by optical image stabilization (OIS) and 2x/4x in-sensor zoom.
Xiaomi also focuses on user preferences, offering various colors, including the special edition Mystic Silver Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G. The new Olive Green variant, with its glossy finish, adds aesthetic appeal and joins the existing Midnight Black, Ocean Teal, and Aurora Purple options.
The Redmi Note series has introduced features like ultra-fast charging and large battery capacities for uninterrupted use. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G boasts 120W HyperCharge, charging to 100 per cent in 19 minutes, while other Pro models offer 67W turbo charging, reaching 100 per cent in 45 minutes. The series now includes a 5100mAh battery in the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, the largest in the series.
The series also features a 120Hz AMOLED display, a high peak brightness of 1800 nits, and Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® for durability. These features ensure a vibrant viewing experience and smooth interaction.
The new Olive Green Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, priced at RM 1,399, is available in Malaysia starting today. From June 21 to July 15, it will be offered at a promotional price of RM 1,299, with a Xiaomi Premium Gift Pack worth RM99 for purchases from Authorized Xiaomi stores.
Malaysian users of Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G can win tickets to the ‘Iconic Fan Meet’ with Southeast Asia ambassador BamBam by registering until July 3, 2024. The first 50 customers to purchase selected models at the Redmi Note 13 Series Roadshow on July 9 will also receive event tickets.
