Sydney, June 11: Blackmagic Design has unveiled an end-to-end workflow for producing cinematic Apple Immersive Video for the Apple Vision Pro.
The highlight is the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive, the world’s first commercial camera system designed to capture Apple Immersive Video.
This new format leverages 8K, 3D video with a 180-degree field of view, and Spatial Audio to provide a fully immersive experience.
The company also announced updates to DaVinci Resolve, enabling professional filmmakers to edit Apple Immersive Video.
The Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive and the new DaVinci Resolve version supporting Apple Immersive Video will be released later this year.

The URSA Cine Immersive camera boasts an 8160 x 7200 resolution per eye, 16 stops of dynamic range, and a fixed, custom lens system designed for the large format image sensor.
It captures 90fps stereoscopic 3D immersive cinema content to a single file.
The updated DaVinci Resolve introduces an immersive video viewer and export presets for seamless editing and viewing on Apple Vision Pro.
The camera is built with a magnesium alloy chassis and lightweight carbon fiber polycarbonate composite skin, featuring robust connectivity options such as 12G-SDI, 10G Ethernet, USB-C, and XLR audio.
It also includes a 5-inch HDR touchscreen monitor, an assist station, and a range of power options.
The URSA Cine Immersive comes with 8TB of high-performance network storage, allowing for over two hours of 8K stereoscopic 3D immersive recording.
Blackmagic Design also introduced a new Blackmagic RAW Immersive file format, designed for ease of use throughout the post-production workflow, storing comprehensive metadata for consistency from set to post-production.
DaVinci Resolve’s new features include monitoring on Apple Vision Pro, editing Blackmagic RAW Immersive video, and an immersive video viewer for pan, tilt, and roll.
Editors can bypass transitions rendered by Apple Vision Pro and export native files for viewing on the device.
Both the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive and the updated DaVinci Resolve will be available later this year from selected Blackmagic Design resellers worldwide.
