Discover the lifelike wax figures at Madame Tussauds Sydney and broaden your knowledge of famous Australian personalities. By June Ramli

After over 10 years living in Sydney and countless times walking past this attraction, I finally visited the Madame Tussauds wax museum in Sydney.
It was literally a dream come true as I finally ticked this box.
I visited the attraction last Wednesday along with the other Merlin Group Entertainment attractions: SEA LIFE, WILD LIFE, and the Sydney Tower.
Today’s review is solely on Madame Tussauds.

If you have purchased the combo ticket and are wondering which attraction to start with, I recommend beginning with Madame Tussauds as it is easy to complete.
Unlike the London version, which requires a bag check, the Sydney location does not, giving it a more seamless experience.

The wax figures here were different from those in the UK.
Some were so lifelike that I occasionally mistook them for real people, shivering with amazement at their realism.
I didn’t get that feeling when I was in the UK.

Notable figures at Madame Tussauds Sydney include Indian Bollywood actors Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan, and the British Royal Family.
The Sydney location also features many Australian personalities, like cricketers and soap opera actors who have transitioned to Hollywood.
Those unfamiliar with these Australian figures might struggle to engage, as they may prefer taking photos with internationally renowned celebrities.
Is this place worth a visit?

Definitely.
You’ll broaden your knowledge of famous Australians and learn about their histories through placards next to their respective wax figures.
