EPOS IMPACT 700 Review

By June Ramli

Sydney, May 20: EPOS has long been a pioneer in audio technology, and their latest offering, the IMPACT 700 series, is a testament to their commitment to excellence.
Launched at the Integrated Systems Europe 2024 (ISE) in Barcelona, the IMPACT 700 is tailored specifically for contact center professionals who demand exceptional audio clarity and comfort during long workdays.
The first thing you notice about the IMPACT 700 is its lightweight design.
Weighing in at just a few ounces, this wired headset is remarkably comfortable to wear, even for extended periods.
The soft memory foam earpads mold gently to your ears, providing a snug fit that doesn’t cause discomfort, even after hours of continuous use.
This attention to comfort is crucial for contact center workers who often wear headsets for their entire shift.
Where the IMPACT 700 truly shines is in its audio performance.

Crystal Clear Calls in Any Environment

EPOS has equipped this headset with three digital microphones that utilize their proprietary BrainAdapt™ technology.
This technology is based on extensive psychoacoustic research and is designed to minimize brain fatigue while enhancing voice clarity.
The result is industry-leading voice pickup that ensures your calls sound natural and clear, regardless of the background noise in your environment.
The headset excels in noisy office environments, thanks to its advanced noise-canceling capabilities. Whether you’re in a bustling contact center or a busy open office, the IMPACT 700 filters out ambient noise, allowing you to focus on your conversation.
This feature is particularly beneficial for maintaining productivity and ensuring that your communication is always crisp and clear.
Using the IMPACT 700 is a seamless experience.
The wired connection ensures a stable audio signal with no latency issues, which can be crucial during important business calls.
The inline control unit allows for easy management of calls and volume, adding to the headset’s user-friendly design.
Additionally, the build quality of the IMPACT 700 feels robust and durable, suggesting it can withstand the rigors of daily use in a professional setting.

Effortless Assembly and Superior Sound Quality
Effortless Assembly and Superior Sound Quality

This is the second headset I am reviewing from EPOS, and I can safely say that the IMPACT 700 was much easier to assemble compared to its predecessors.
The pricing is more straightforward at $259, unlike earlier models where the price varied depending on the specs.
It worked seamlessly with my Microsoft-embedded laptop, but I encountered some issues with my iMac. I will update the article later regarding the integration with the iMac.
For me, the EPOS IMPACT 700 series is an outstanding choice for contact center professionals and anyone in need of a reliable, high-quality headset for demanding work environments.
Its combination of comfort, advanced audio technology, and user-friendly features make it a standout product in its category.
Whether you’re taking calls in a noisy office or need to maintain clear communication throughout the day, the IMPACT 700 delivers on all fronts, making it a worthy investment for any talk-centric professional.
