Sydney, May 16: Intel has recently announced Thunderbolt™ Share, a cutting-edge software solution designed to revolutionize the way users interact with multiple PCs. Available on select PCs with Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 5 ports, this new feature enhances productivity by enabling responsive screen-sharing and rapid PC-to-PC file transfers.
Thunderbolt Share is specifically crafted to cater to users who manage multiple PCs, simplifying complex workflows and boosting productivity. According to Jason Ziller, Intel’s Vice President and General Manager of the Client Connectivity Division, “Thunderbolt Share delivers on our aspiration to bring innovative solutions to the market and deliver new experiences for users to get the most out of their PCs. Now users can seamlessly access one PC from another at Thunderbolt technology speeds. It truly changes how users can be more productive and efficient.”

This technology is compatible with Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 5 PCs running the Windows® operating system.
It utilizes the high bandwidth and low latency inherent to Thunderbolt technology to enable smooth, uncompressed screen-sharing and ultra-responsive control over mouse and keyboard functions between PCs. Users will benefit from efficient file transfers, including drag and drop functionality, folder synchronization, and easy migration of files from an older PC to a newer model.
Thunderbolt Share also facilitates easy collaboration by allowing users to share large files without hassle. It supports connections via direct PC-to-PC links or through Thunderbolt accessories like docks or monitors.
The connections are private and secure, ensuring that the performance of Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or cloud networks remains unaffected.
The introduction of Thunderbolt Share marks a significant step in the evolution of Thunderbolt technology, which is renowned for its superior connectivity solutions and is a standard feature in millions of PCs and accessories, including all Intel® Evo™ Edition and Intel® vPro® laptops.
Thunderbolt Share is set to be available on select PCs and accessories starting in the second half of 2024, with forthcoming announcements expected from major companies such as Lenovo, Acer, MSI, Razer, Kensington, Belkin, Promise, Plugable, and OWC.
