Idea of You Debuts

Prime Video has announced the premiere date for its highly anticipated romantic drama, “The Idea of You.” The film, starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, is set to make its global debut on May 2nd, following its world premiere at the SXSW Festival on March 16th as the Closing Night Film.
“The Idea of You” is adapted from Robinne Lee’s beloved 2017 book, which tells the compelling love story between Solène, a 40-year-old single mom, and Hayes Campbell, the 24-year-old lead singer of the world’s hottest boy band, August Moon. Anne Hathaway shines as Solène, while Nicholas Galitzine captivates as Hayes, bringing this modern romance to life under the direction of Michael Showalter, who returns to SXSW after his successful past debuts.
The film not only explores the blossoming romance but also delves into the complexities brought on by Hayes’ superstar status, providing a deep look at love under the spotlight. The narrative unfolds at the iconic Coachella Music Festival, where Solène and Hayes’ paths cross in a serendipitous encounter, sparking an intense and passionate affair.
Accompanying the movie’s release is the debut single from the soundtrack, “Dance Before We Walk” by August Moon, now available on Arista Records and can be heard on all digital platforms. The full original motion picture soundtrack will be released simultaneously with the film, with pre-orders already underway.
With a screenplay by Michael Showalter and Jennifer Westfeldt, and a production team including Cathy Schulman, Gabrielle Union, and Anne Hathaway among others, “The Idea of You” promises to deliver not only a captivating romantic narrative but also a thought-provoking look into personal and public realms.
“The Idea of You” joins Prime Video’s extensive catalogue of shows and films, offering a diverse array of titles ranging from local hits to global sensations across various genres, all available to stream on multiple devices.
Batman Animated Series Debuts

Today, Prime Video announced the premiere date for “Batman: Caped Crusader,” the highly anticipated new animated series from Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho. Set to launch globally on August 1st, the series will release all ten episodes at once, providing fans with an extensive binge-watching experience. This exciting news arrives just ahead of Prime Video’s inaugural upfront presentation scheduled for May 14th.
Accompanying the announcement, Prime Video released the first official images of the series, offering fans a glimpse into a reimagined Gotham City. These images introduce several iconic characters, portraying them in unique lights that promise to add depth to the familiar narrative.
The series provides a fresh take on the Dark Knight, depicting Batman as a cold, remorseless avenger, seemingly more machine than man. His entire being is forged from the tragedy of his past, dedicating himself entirely to the eradication of crime. In stark contrast, Bruce Wayne is shown as a shallow dilettante in the public eye, a deliberate facade to protect his nocturnal alter-ego.
Other key characters featured include Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, who adopts her criminal persona to maintain her luxurious lifestyle after her family’s fortune dissipates. Dr. Harleen Quinzel, or Harley Quinn, appears as a respected psychiatrist by day, transforming into a creepy and calculating vigilante by night. Commissioner Jim Gordon is portrayed as a beat cop on the verge of retirement, who finds himself at odds with both corrupt colleagues and Gotham’s dark vigilante. Lastly, Clayface, originally screen actor Basil Karlo, turns to villainy after a disfiguring serum shatters his career and sanity.
“Bruce Wayne’s dual identity is carefully crafted to divert attention from his activities as Batman,” detailed the producers. This new series aims to explore deeper, darker themes, providing a narrative-rich exploration of the psychological makeup of Gotham’s iconic inhabitants. “Batman: Caped Crusader” will be available for streaming on Prime Video, joining a diverse catalog of content.
