URBNSURF Sydney Opens May

Sydney, April 18: Sydney is set to catch a new wave of entertainment with the opening of URBNSURF Sydney, the city’s first ever wave park, this coming May.
The park, which represents an investment of over $75 million, is expected to bring substantial economic benefits to the Sydney Olympic Park area, with a projected contribution of $250 million over the next two decades.
Located in the heart of Sydney Olympic Park Precinct, URBNSURF Sydney spans a 3.6-hectare site and features a lagoon as large as the Sydney Cricket Ground.
It can accommodate up to 1,000 visitors daily, operating seven days a week to provide perfect waves using world-class Wavegarden technology.
The technology promises up to 12 perfect waves per hour-long session, catering to all skill levels—from beginners to expert surfers.
The park will offer a range of attractions including a Surf Academy, a leisure swimming pool, a skate pad, and a health and wellness center.
Additionally, there will be two food venues by Applejack Hospitality—RAFI URBNSURF and Sandy’s—enhancing the visitor experience with diverse culinary options.
URBNSURF Sydney also boasts a partnership with Rip Curl, who will provide a retail store on site, offering guests access to top-of-the-line apparel and surfing equipment.
