Sydney, April 13: Blackmagic Design has significantly expanded its product lineup with the introduction of 22 new products, including two new cameras, an updated version of DaVinci Resolve, innovative Resolve control hardware, a novel broadcast replay line, and an array of 2110 AV products.
Highlighting the launch are the URSA CINE and PYXIS cameras. The URSA CINE is set to revolutionize the industry with its large format 12K RGBW sensor, offering 16 stops of dynamic range and seamless Blackmagic RAW integration with DaVinci Resolve.
This camera supports up to 80 fps shooting in 12K, features high-speed connectivity options like WiFi and 10G Ethernet, and includes built-in ND filters to enhance shooting flexibility under varying light conditions. It’s priced at US$14,995.
The PYXIS 6K aims at versatility with its full-frame 6K sensor capable of recording up to 36 fps at full resolution or 120 fps in a windowed mode.
Priced at US$2,995, it boasts dual CFexpress card slots, a 4-inch HDR display, and professional audio inputs, making it a formidable tool for high-resolution video production.
DaVinci Resolve 19, now in public beta, introduces enhanced AI capabilities through the DaVinci Neural Engine, improved color grading tools, Fairlight audio enhancements, and multi-source editing features. The accompanying DaVinci Resolve Micro Color Panel, priced at US$495, offers a budget-friendly option for precise color control and is designed to integrate seamlessly with an iPad Pro.
The newly announced Blackmagic Replay and Resolve Replay Editor enhance live broadcast capabilities, enabling fast multi-cam editing with streamlined workflow integration at US$495 each.
In addition to these highlights, Blackmagic Design has introduced a suite of SMPTE 2110 standard-compliant products, including various IP converters and a new Ethernet switch designed specifically for the film and television industry, priced at US$2,895.
Further supporting the infrastructure, the Blackmagic Cloud Store Max offers up to 48TB of high-speed network storage for US$6,495, ensuring robust data management and real-time collaboration across locations.
The launch also includes price reductions across the Video Assist line of monitors, making these tools more accessible to a broader range of professionals.
