Firestoke Partners with Usuals

Sydney, April 10: Firestoke is thrilled (and a tad apprehensive) to announce a new publishing collaboration with the game development team Usual Suspects for their dynamic and engaging 3rd person open world simulation game, “It’s Only Money.”
Despite their comically self-professed lack of basic life skills, Usual Suspects have created an irresistibly vibrant and enthralling game experience that supports multiplayer gameplay for up to four players.
In “It’s Only Money,” players find themselves in the shoes of an Undercity dweller, unjustly thrown into the depths by Rockhaven’s nefarious new mayor.

Your mission is to rise from the shadows of the sewers and subways, challenging the corporate empire backed by the mayor’s corrupt allies.
Embark on a journey to reclaim the city, purchasing property, businesses, and luxury items, embodying the rags-to-riches dream in the most literal sense.
|The game transforms Rockhaven into an expansive playground, where players can engage in a multitude of activities—from mission-based challenges to the simple joys of shopping, car theft, and fine dining. Whether teaming up with friends or competing in player vs. player mini-games, “It’s Only Money” offers a rich tapestry of cooperative and competitive experiences.

Currently in Early Access, “It’s Only Money” is set for a significant content update with the release of Chapter 2 on April 23rd.
This update will introduce improvements to vehicle mechanics and AI, new vehicles and customization options, and the first ‘Side Hustle’ mission, among other enhancements.
Paul Farley, CEO of Firestoke, humorously comments on the unconventional nature of their press release and partnership, highlighting the unique charm and potential of the game despite the playful jabs at Usual Suspects’ unconventional operation.
Meanwhile, Aaron Alexander of Usual Suspects wryly celebrates the partnership, noting the surreal transition from independent development to working under a corporate umbrella, all while maintaining a sense of gratitude and ambition for their creation.
