Kuching, April 11: Sarawak Consolidated Industries Berhad (“SCIB” or the “Company”), a leader in industrialized building systems, is thrilled to announce a landmark achievement by its fully-owned subsidiary, SCIB Industrialised Building System Sdn. Bhd. (“SIBS”), concerning the Cadangan Membina dan Menyiapkan 632 Unit Perumahan Rakyat 1 Malaysia (PR1MA) Fasa 1 initiative in Kubang Kerian, Kota Bahru, Kelantan.
Expanding on the initial Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) contract given to SCIB Properties Sdn. Bhd. (“SCIBP”) in May 2021, SIBS has officially received a revised Letter of Award and Acceptance (RLOA) from AUEI Teras Holding Sdn. Bhd. (“AUEI”) as of 8 April 2024.
This updated contract appoints SIBS as the primary contractor for the prestigious PR1MA housing development, now valued at RM162 million, highlighting SCIB’s critical contribution to addressing national housing demands.
The collaboration is designed to construct 632 homes over a 36-month build period, plus a 24-month defect liability term, showcasing SCIB’s pledge to quality and responsible community advancement.
