Empowering Women Leaders

Singapore, March 22: The inaugural Her Courage Leaders Summit, hosted at the ERA APAC Centre, marked a significant milestone in women’s empowerment and leadership on Thursday.
Organized by the social enterprise Class Living, the event saw the signing of six Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with entities that share a vision for advancing women’s empowerment and practicing mindful leadership.
The collaborations were established with notable organizations such as Social Innovation Park, Unicorns for Good, Asia Singa Hospitality, SEAFE Holdings, the online magazine Womenlines, and Bespoke Education.
These partnerships are set to enhance collaborative efforts to support and empower various organizations and individuals through a range of initiatives, including training programs, workshops, and leadership development awareness campaigns.
Highlighting the government’s support for women’s roles in shaping Singapore’s future, the summit welcomed Minister of State for Education & Manpower, Gan Siow Huang, as the Guest of Honour.
This endorsement underlines the event’s alignment with national objectives to create more opportunities for women.
Class Living introduced several groundbreaking initiatives at the summit, such as Women of Courage Asia (WOCA), the Her Courage Biz Network (HCBN), and the Transform With Courage Bootcamp (TWCB).
These programs aim to nurture, connect, and empower women through personal transformation, leadership development, and community projects across Asia and beyond.
Lilian Ong, CEO and Founder of Class Living and Women of Courage Asia, emphasized the transformative impact of courage in women’s lives.
She stated, “Courage is a choice to take intentional and committed action in the face of fear to create the change you want to see in your life. When women awaken to the knowledge and understanding of our purpose in life, take courage to overcome self-doubt and fear, restore our confidence, and unleash the power within us, imagine the transformative impact we could bring for the good and benefit of mankind.”
The summit also celebrated the fifth anniversary of Women of Courage Asia, honoring women entrepreneurs who have used their businesses to create significant social impact.
Ten female entrepreneurs were awarded for their contributions.
Featuring keynote speakers, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, the Her Courage Leaders Summit has established itself as a vital platform for inspiring and equipping women for self-development and societal contribution.
This event not only celebrates the achievements of women leaders but also aligns with Singapore’s national agenda to champion women’s pivotal roles in society.
