With a background in aviation cargo operations and experience on the boards of Berjaya Land Berhad and Sarawak Consolidated Industries Berhad, Encik Abang Abdillah is recognized for his hands-on leadership and business acumen.
Holding 15.58 per cent of Minetech, amounting to 240 million shares, his investment reflects a strong belief in the company’s potential.
Matt Chin, Executive Director of Minetech, expresses optimism about the new Chairman’s diverse experience and entrepreneurial spirit, anticipating growth, especially in the Sarawak region.
Encik Abang Abdillah is excited to join Minetech, seeing great potential for growth in Malaysia and the broader Asian region.
His appointment is expected to drive new growth opportunities and strengthen Minetech’s industry position.
As of today, Minetech’s share price closed at RM0.175, with a market capitalisation of RM269.9 million.
Adyen Elevates Frasers Hospitality
Sydney, Jan 4: Adyen, a global financial technology platform, has partnered with Frasers Hospitality to enhance guest experiences in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and Europe.
This collaboration introduces seamless payment processes across Frasers Hospitality’s services, including web, check-in, and F&B. Guests can now enjoy faster check-ins and a variety of payment options, including major credit cards and local methods like Alipay and GrabPay.

MR D.I.Y. Celebrates Love

Kuala Lumpur, Jan 5: In celebration of the Lunar New Year, Malaysia’s beloved home improvement retailer, MR D.I.Y., has launched its “Wo Ai Ni [I Love You]” Chinese New Year initiative.
The campaign, featuring over 90 special festive items and 120 discounted products, aims to enhance the festive spirit with a focus on love and family reunions.
Alex Goh, MR D.I.Y. Group’s Head of Marketing, emphasized the importance of love during the Lunar New Year and the brand’s commitment to making family reunions special.
