Kuala Lumpur, Dec 13: WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that allows users to pin a message in both individual and group chats.
This feature is designed to emphasize key messages, making them easier to locate and saving time for users.
All types of messages, including text, polls, images, and emojis, can be pinned and will remain end-to-end encrypted.
To pin a message, users need to long-press on the message and choose ‘Pin’ from the menu that appears.
Upon selecting to pin a message, users will be prompted to choose how long the message stays pinned – options include 24 hours, seven days, or 30 days, with seven days being the default setting.
In group chats, administrators can decide whether all members or only admins can pin messages.
The rollout of pinned messages has begun for WhatsApp users.
