Singapore, Dec 11: I returned from a work trip to Singapore just over a week ago, and during my stay, I had the chance to review a recently opened hotel in Mount Faber.
This hotel, named after its location, has been in operation since the fourth quarter of this year.
The on-site restaurant, White Tiffin, had only been serving guests for about a month, with congratulatory flowers still adorning the space.

Alfie Aiden Tjen, the hotel’s assistant marketing manager, shared that despite being a newcomer, the hotel achieved full occupancy during my stay last week.
“We are operating at full capacity, leveraging bookings from our other properties and bringing forward reservations from other hotels,” Tjen said in a recent interview with DailyStraits.com.

I observed that the rooms were compact yet functional.
In contrast to the typical double bed setup, my room featured two single beds and a separate bathroom, a thoughtful arrangement for my business-focused visit.

The room included two single beds, a smart TV with Netflix connectivity (remember to log out), separate toilets for toiletries and showering, an iron available upon request, a hairdryer, and a safe.
The kitchenette and open cabinet provided convenient storage for personal items.

The hotel offers a rooftop swimming pool accessible from 7 am to 9 pm, with a reminder for guests to shower before taking a dip.
I witnessed a Caucasian man skipping the shower, which was a bit off-putting.

Complimentary buffet breakfast and a mini-bar are provided, with offerings varying based on room type.
Situated next to a business highway, the hotel effectively mitigates noise from the main road through soundproofing.

A nearby bus stop offers an economical transportation option, and the closest MRT station is the Harbour Front – purple line.
The hotel is conveniently positioned near Mapple Business Centre and Google Singapore, with Anson and Robinson Road offices a short ride away, reachable within minutes via Grab or the local bus service.

Even though the rooms are a bit cosy, which is pretty typical for hotels in Singapore, this place has a great spot. It’s perfect if you fancy strolls in nature, want to hop on the Mount Faber cable car or explore Sentosa.
For those mindful of budget and willing to forgo the more expensive Sentosa accommodation, this hotel is an excellent choice with convenient access to public transportation.

I genuinely recommend this spot for a comfy and affordable stay in the Lion City, whether you’re there for work or just to chill.
Throughout my five days there, the staff, especially the friendly Malaysians who commute daily from the Johor Causeway, went out of their way to share cool local tips and activity suggestions during my short stay there.
I must say that this added a personal touch to my stay!
