Sydney, Oct 13: This Friday the 13th, Amazon Alexa, in partnership with Mars Wrigley, is launching a unique voice-enabled consumer promotion designed to kick off the Halloween season with a bang, offering hundreds of prizes to Australian customers.
This innovative interactive experience, accessible on Alexa-enabled devices, provides customized content from Alexa and features the iconic M&M characters, Red and Yellow.
These beloved characters are voiced by legendary voice artist Billy West and Oscar-winning actor JK Simmons, respectively.
The “Alexa, trick or treat” experience is a collaborative effort between the Australian Amazon Alexa team and Mars Wrigley.
It represents the first instance in Australia where Amazon Alexa has seamlessly integrated a retail brand into its native editorial content, creating a delightful surprise for customers with seasonally themed content and exciting prize giveaways.
Through this initiative, the cherished M&M’s brand will make its way into Australian homes, offering customers the chance to virtually engage with Red and Yellow for some spooktacular fun.
This interactive promotion can be activated on Alexa-enabled devices simply by saying “Alexa, trick or treat.”
Upon activation, customers will experience a variety of responses each time they participate – they might encounter a ‘trick,’ which could be a playful prank voiced by Alexa, Red, and Yellow, or they could receive a delightful ‘treat,’ such as a spooky pun or the opportunity to win one of many $5 discounts on M&M’s party buckets on Amazon.com.au.
Moreover, all participants who engage with Alexa’s ‘Trick or Treat’ experience during the promotion period will be entered for a chance to win the grand prize, which includes M&M’s confectionery and a smart home bundle featuring Echo devices, a Ring doorbell with a limited-edition Halloween Holiday faceplate, smart bulbs, and a Fire TV Stick, with a total value of up to $1,500.

The experience is accessible on Amazon Echo devices and via the Alexa app, which can be downloaded for free from app stores.
Mars Wrigley will also be giving away an Amazon Echo Show 8 with Alexa through the M&M’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
