Kuala Lumpur, Sept 21: Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence arm of Alibaba Group, has announced its partnership with Malacca Securities, a brokerage firm operating the M+Global App and a participating organization of Bursa Malaysia Securities.
Malacca Securities has selected Alibaba Cloud as its trusted public cloud solution provider to boost efficiency and security in its operations.
Alibaba Cloud is delivering Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions to power Malacca Securities’ Trading Platform, the M+Global App.
This digital trading platform empowers Malaysians to navigate global markets dynamically, seize emerging opportunities, and take greater control of their financial future.
Kun Huang, General Manager of Malaysia at Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, highlighted the importance of financial institutions embracing cloud-native environments to drive intelligent automation, increase agility, and improve software release cycles.
The collaboration underscores Alibaba Cloud’s commitment to empowering Malaysia’s businesses with robust and secure cloud computing solutions.
The partnership involves the use of Alibaba Cloud’s technology suite, including IaaS, M+ Global Subscription on Middleware, Storage, Elastic Compute Service, Relation Database Services (RDS), and network services, along with Enterprise Support.
This technology suite offers flexibility and scalability while maintaining cost efficiency for Malacca Securities.
Alibaba Cloud has been working closely with Malacca Securities since 2020, primarily for M+ Online, its online trading platform, to drive digital transformation.
The launch of the M+Global app in May marked an elevated level of collaboration between the two entities.
Lim Chia Wei, Managing Director of Malacca Securities, emphasized the decision to choose Alibaba Cloud as a cloud solution provider for the M+Global app due to the trust and understanding established over time.
These collaborations align with Alibaba Cloud’s commitment to supporting financial services institutions (FSIs) of all sizes across various sectors within the financial industry.
Alibaba Cloud provides a highly secure and scalable cloud infrastructure, with a global network spanning 89 availability zones in 30 regions worldwide.
Alibaba Cloud’s presence in Malaysia includes local data centers since 2017 and the launch of the first cloud-based Anti-DDoS Scrubbing Centre in Malaysia in 2018, serving the region’s needs in digital innovation.
