D2N – Technology Solutions has secured a multi-year contract to provide Triple Eight Race Engineering/Johor Motor Sports Team with a comprehensive communication solution for their participation in the Fanatec GT World Challenge series.
The Riedel Bolero and Kenwood intercom system will be supplied by D2N, a renowned provider of high-quality racing communications.
Triple Eight is a dominant force in the pit lane, having won multiple teams, drivers’ championships, and Bathurst 1000 titles.
The Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Series is the largest multi-class GT race series in Asia and a significant part of the SRO Motorsports Group’s worldwide GT3 sprint racing platform.
The series features a mix of GT3 and GT4 cars, with the latter competing for their own class wins and titles.
According to Andrew Simpson, Triple Eight Race Engineering’s GT Team Manager, D2N’s Managing Director, Jason Owen, has successfully worked with the team in the past and provided critical equipment to their GT team.
The Riedel Bolero and Kenwood intercom system fully satisfies the requirements of their Asian GT program.
The team needed a more powerful and flexible communication system, with the ability to switch between different radio frequency restrictions in various countries.
The Riedel Kenwood solution proposed and provided by D2N is a winning combination, offering each team member a belt pack to communicate effectively across different channels.
The system includes six-plus different lines of communication on the belt pack, enabling streamlined communication among the team.
The engineers can talk easily to other engineers, the crew chief can talk to each car’s respective crew, and so on – all with high-quality audio.
The Kenwood mobile units provide excellent signal when communicating with the car on track.
Simpson praises D2N for its quality and reliability, describing the programming interface as intuitive and user-friendly.
The beltpack units are of excellent quality, with strong signal strength, battery life, sound quality, and ergonomic buttons.
As a technology partner, D2N’s communication solution will be exclusively used by the Triple Eight Race Engineering team throughout their GTWC Asia campaign for all their communication needs.
