Kuala Lumpur, Nov 3: The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) through the Malaysian Handicraft agency and its subsidiary, Syarikat Pemasaran Karyaneka Sdn Bhd (Karyaneka) will offers cash rebate vouchers for the purchase of local craft products at 10 Karyaneka outlets.
They are Kompleks Kuala Lumpur Crafts, MATIC Jalan Ampang, National Museum, Putrajaya Square, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Melaka Craft Complex, Johor Craft Complex, Langkawi Craft Complex, Langkawi International Airport and Parliament Building.
The cash rebate is in line with the Tourism Recovery Plan announced by MOTAC through the Economic Stimulus Package (PRE), aimed at encouraging domestic spending as well as helping revive the Malaysian shopping industry which has been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Visitors and tourists who visit all Karyaneka outlets have the opportunity to get a cash rebate discount of RM30.00 for every purchase worth RM100.00.
For example, a purchase of RM200.00 will entitle a person for a discount of RM60.00.
Apart from that, these vouchers are also given at every craft promotion program, craft sales galleries at every Kraftangan Malaysia branch as well as craft entrepreneur outlets registered under Kraftangan Malaysia.
Attractive promotions are also given to the first 150 buyers who will also receive special gifts from Kraftangan Malaysia.
The cash rebate allows customers to buy more craft products for personal use, decoration and home furnishings gifts as well as gifts and souvenirs for family, relatives and friends.
With this cash rebate initiative, it indirectly provides an opportunity for craft entrepreneurs to increase the production of craft products which indirectly helps generate income and drive the national economy.
In an effort to boost the purchase of local craft products, these cash rebate vouchers can also be used on Kraftangan Malaysia’s digital platforms such as e-Kraf Bazar, MYCRAFTSHOPPE, Virtual National Craft Day 2021 and www.karyaneka.com.my.
These cash rebates would only be available from now till the end of November.
