Perth, Nov 1: Australian food brand Exotic Bazaar has announced a $2.35 million manufacturing expansion in regional Victoria, expected to create 18 jobs as the company prepares for international growth.
The investment will establish a production and fulfilment facility in Ballarat, allowing the company to bring key manufacturing operations in-house and strengthen its product development capabilities.
Founded in 2019 by Gilava Pour, Exotic Bazaar produces meal bases, spice blends and cake kits sold through Coles supermarkets and independent retailers across Australia.
The new facility will introduce dedicated blending, packaging and fulfilment operations, enabling the company to accelerate product development, improve efficiency and respond to growing consumer demand.
“For years, our focus has been on making exciting flavours easier for people to enjoy at home. This next step is about building the capability behind that vision,” said Pour, the company’s founder and chief executive.
“Bringing manufacturing into our own hands gives us the freedom to innovate, explore new product ideas and bring them to market much faster. It also means creating new opportunities for people to grow alongside us.”
The government-backed investment is also intended to support the expansion of Exotic Bazaar’s existing product range and the development of new food products as the company explores opportunities in international markets.
Pour said securing supermarket distribution had been an important milestone, but the company’s ambitions extended beyond the Australian market.
“Our ambition is to build an Australian food brand that continues to grow, creates opportunities for local people and introduces more people around the world to the flavours we love.”
The Ballarat facility represents the company’s next phase of growth, with greater control over manufacturing expected to support future product innovation and expansion.
