Gymea Village Festival Returns

Perth, Oct 7: Gymea Village Festival returns on Sunday, 25 October 2026, with more than 250 stalls, live entertainment and a free Kids Zone along Gymea Bay Road. Running from 9am to 4pm between President Avenue and Kingsway, the free-entry event will feature more than 50 Sutherland Shire businesses.
Families can enjoy free petting farm visits, giant bubbles, puppet shows, arts and crafts, and children’s play activities. Other attractions include roving stilt walkers, a giant slide, carnival games and remote-controlled excavators.
Browse ceramics, jewellery and handmade wooden toys, or sample Portuguese tarts, dumplings and Malaysian satay. Main Stage performers include the Kirrawee High School Jazz Orchestra, Ettingshausens’ dancers, Sutherland Youth Concert Band, Volition and Greg Niven & The Forgotten Few.
Festival sponsor Gymea Hotel will host go-karts and reptile shows from 10am, the Chris Cooke Duo from midday and an all-ages Jellybean Jam show from 4pm. The festival is organised by Cambridge Markets on behalf of Gymea Chamber of Commerce.

Halloween Takes Over The Rocks

Perth, Oct 6: Ghost in The Rocks returns to Sydney’s Circular Quay and The Rocks from 29 October to 1 November, bringing four nights of outdoor horror films, themed street food, cocktail trails, live music and free DJ sets.
Highlights include Audible Ghost Cinema at Cadmans Cottage, the Haunted Woods at First Fleet Park and an adults-only Trick or Drink trail. Families can explore Halloween markets, roaming characters and daytime film screenings.
Festival entry is free, while selected experiences, including the cinema and cocktail trail, require tickets. Details: ghostfestival.com.au.
