Maamor Jantan Unveils Interaksi Alam

Perth, Aug 11: Celebrated Malaysian visual artist Maamor Jantan will unveil his latest watercolour collection, Interaksi Alam, at an intimate art showcase opening August 22, 2026 in Janda Baik. The exhibition features 24 original masterpieces distinguished by vibrant colours, expressive storytelling, refined technique, and a deep appreciation for nature.
Widely regarded as one of Malaysia’s most respected visual artists, Maamor has produced over 1,600 artworks across acclaimed collections including the Jogja Series, Cakcibor Series, Hari Raya Series, and Music Series. Interaksi Alam marks a new chapter in his artistic legacy, drawing inspiration from the tranquillity, rhythm, and ever-changing beauty of the natural world, reflecting on humanity’s relationship with nature through the fluidity and spontaneity of watercolour.
“Nature has always been a constant source of inspiration throughout my artistic journey, where I get to express my experience in life into an art that people can appreciate. The artwork I created is not a fiction, it’s the resemblance of life we’ve personally gone through caught in time. Creating these 25 paintings has been an incredibly fulfilling experience, and I am excited to showcase them at Interaksi Alam,” said Maamor Jantan.
Having held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions both locally and internationally — including the United Kingdom, China, Japan, Australia, Indonesia, and Thailand — Maamor continues to be recognised as one of Malaysia’s foremost visual artists, preserving the nation’s rich cultural heritage while inspiring new generations to appreciate its traditions, community spirit, and natural landscapes.
Supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC), National Art Gallery, and Tourism Malaysia, the showcase will present all 24 original watercolour masterpieces, with visitors also given the opportunity to purchase pieces from the collection.
