Perth, Aug 6: Fairview International School has been ranked Malaysia’s No. 1 IB school, Joint 24th worldwide and Joint 13th in Asia in the provisional 2026 league table published by IB-Schools.com, after students at its flagship Kuala Lumpur campus achieved an average International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) score of 38 points.
The 2026 global average sits at 30.88, meaning Fairview’s Diploma cohort of 22 students finished 7.12 points above it — a three-point improvement on the school’s 2025 average of 35, and 3.8 points ahead of the next-ranked Malaysian school in the table.
This marks the fifth time Fairview has placed among the world’s Top 100 IB schools, and its first-ever finish inside the Top 25.
Founded in 1978, Fairview was among the pioneers of the International Baccalaureate in Malaysia and today operates the country’s largest network of IB World Schools, offering the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes across campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Subang Jaya, Ipoh, Penang and Johor Bahru. The school’s approach centres on inquiry, critical thinking and character development, with academic performance treated as an outcome of that preparation rather than its primary goal.
