Dell Unveils New AI server

Perth, June 23: Dell Technologies has introduced the PowerEdge XE8812 server, a new addition to its Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA, built for high-performance computing and AI workloads.
Announced in Sydney, the server features NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin NVL4 architecture and delivers up to 144 GPUs per rack. The fanless, direct liquid-cooled design targets demanding workloads such as molecular and multi-physics simulations, offering 50% more memory per socket and GPU than the previous generation, allowing organisations to run larger models and simulations entirely in-memory.
Built on the open ORv3 standard, the platform supports more than 300kW of power and uses fully liquid-cooled CPUs and GPUs for energy efficiency. Dell says its PowerRack integration and ProDeploy services allow pre-validated rack-scale systems to be running live workloads in just over six hours.
The launch comes as Dell reports growing demand for AI infrastructure, with AI investment projected to rise 44% year-on-year in 2026.
