Perth, May 21: The air at Westfield Carousel was transformed into a floral sanctuary this past Wednesday.
As LUSH Carousel hosted an immersive botanical experience, inviting mothers and daughters to step away from the bustle of the mall and into a world of handmade skincare and artisanal floristry.

A Global Journey in Every Pot
The evening’s narrative, shared by LUSH specialist Anna Heavens, took guests on a journey from the fields of Turkey to the local kitchens in Sydney.
Participants learned that the rose oil used in their products is sourced from a grower’s cooperative where producers “actually go out and pick the roses before the sun comes up” to capture the “really fresh rose fragrance.”
Heavens revealed that once a customer takes home a small pot of the finished mask, it contains the concentrated essence of at least 12 rose petals.
Blooming Skills with Letisha Rakich
After that the botanical journey began with local florist Letisha Rakich, who led a specialised session teaching participants how to become a florist for the day. Under her guidance, guests explored the artistry of floral design, crafting their own arrangements that complemented the botanical themes of the evening.

The “Skincare Cake” Workshop
The highlight of the event was a hands-on workshop where the team, including specialist Enrico, demonstrated that making a face mask is “just like you would make a cake”.
The group watched as “wet ingredients” were combined first—starting with a fresh rose infusion,.
This infusion is typically made from local Sydney roses steeped in hot water, and Heavens noted this specific batch was likely prepared just the day before by a team member named Brandon.

A key scientific highlight was the addition of vegan glycerin. Heavens described it as a “humectant” that “will kind of attract water and also help water sink into the skin.” Guests who tested it experienced a unique “warming effect” as the ingredient drew moisture from the air to hydrate the skin. The process was highly collaborative, with Heavens inviting the attendees to help pour the “magic” ingredients into the “delicious face mask cake.”
Enrico’s Expert Recommendations

While the floral workshop bloomed nearby, Enrico provided guests with one-on-one skincare consultations. To ensure the pampering continued long after the event, Enrico curated a list of specific product recommendations tailored for relaxation and skin health.
His curated list includes:

- Karma Body Spray (200mL)
- Me Time Fresh Face Mask (75g): The star of the blending workshop.
- Super Milk Conditioning Hair Primer (250g)
- Good Karma Shower Gel
- Karma Soap
- Deep Sleep Magnesium Massage Bar: Recommended for evening relaxation.
- Karma Massage Bar
The event proved that at LUSH, skincare is more than a routine—it is a “delicious face mask cake” made of community, science, and a few “drops of magic.”.
